NHL FACE OFF 2010

Last Thursday, the city of Toronto kicked off the Toronto Maple Leafs 2010-2011 NHL season with a big block party at Yonge and Dundas Square.  The square was filled with hockey fans enjoying the live entertainment, games and the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadiens game on the big screen.

Vancouver rockers Hedley kicked off the festivities performing a 40 minute set, playing such hits as Perfect and Cha-Ching.  Hedley is currently on tour in the U.S.

Toronto based band, Down with Webster kept the crowd entertained during the first period intermission.  Performing their crowd sing-a-long "Whoa Is Me."

The Leafs went on to win beat the Habs 3-2.  With newly acquired captain Dion Phaneuf, scoring the first goal for the Leafs.
