The episode was full of guest stars from Saturday Night Live alumnis, Matt Damon to Julia Louis-Dreyfus (who played Liz Lemon in her flashblacks). The episode even poked fun at the fact the show was live, trying to have things go wrong so that they can get that laugh factor.
Not only did 30 Rock go live on the east coast, it went live again on the west coast. The shows were very similar but there were some new jokes and skits.
What a great idea, I think more shows should experiment with live episodes, it makes for great television.
